I want to build an addition, barn, garage, etc.. or remodel my home. Do you draw plans for this type of project?
Yes. TWK Drafting draws plans for all types of projects such as those named. Please contact us to discuss how we may be of assistance to you.

I have a project that wasn’t permitted and now the local code enforcement office is asking me to obtain the proper permits. Can you help?
TWK Drafting has helped prepare plans for a number of code enforcement projects. Our goal is to make the process as smooth as possible for our clients. Please call us to see how TWK Drafting can help you with the required documents.

Do you charge for plan check comments?
On projects in which the client was given an all inclusive estimate, or for projects involving new homes when the client is charged by the square foot, we do not charge for plan check comments that pertain to work done by TWK Drafting. For projects that are billed by the hour, or standard plans sold “as is” TWK Drafting does charge for any plan check comments we are asked to respond to.

Once the drawings are completed, who owns the drawings, TWK Drafting or the client?
All drawings are considered to be the clients drawings, and are not distributed or sold to others without the clients prior written approval.

Do you have standard plans for sale?
TWK Drafting has a few stock plans for sale, and we are looking to add numerous others in the near future. We also have a number of clients who often are willing to sell the plans they have on file with TWK Drafting.

How much will my permit cost?
Permits have a number of variables that can affect the exact cost. An approximate cost can be determined by the County of San Diego’s fee schedule. In addition to the amount charged by the county, your project may be subject to fees charged by the local school districts, water districts, sewer districts, and fire districts. If you are on a septic system there may also be some review charges or a repair permit may need to be issued to upgrade the system as required by your project.

Where can I find the forms I may need for my building, well, grading, and or septic permit?
Various County of San Diego forms can be found on the county’s website.

I know my address but don’t know my Parcel Number. Where can I find this information?

Where can I find a map showing my property and location of my lot lines?
